We are adding new features and improvements all the time. LiveProfessor works on XP, Vista, and Windows 7. While in the beta stage LiveProfessor is completely free.ĭon’t hesitate to contact us, or leave a comment if you find any bugs or have suggestions for new features or improvements. ![]() When we move on from beta it will be released in several versions with different licences. There will always be a free version available, though it will have a more limited feature set then the payed. Hope you like the software. Thanks thats what I figured too but wanted to double check. LiveProfessor LiveProfessor is a live oriented plugin host for Windows and OSX. Trouble with LiveProfessor - No sound thru plugins. I’m not using any synths I’m just using it as a live effects rack so I don’t see how I could possibly reach 4gb of usage. LiveProfessor makes it easy to create a powerful, portable and flexible effect rack using VST or AU plugins. The software was developed in close collaboration with experienced audio professionals from live sound, theatre. my Xr18 set up as follows: all channels are sent to a Hall reverb on FX 2. Also here is an idea… Maybe you can make LiveProfessor Jack native? The Jack ASIO driver all it does is hand off the applications audio to Jack so it’s really just a middle man to Jack. There are a handful of Windows apps that are already Jack native. ![]() Having yours be one of them would be amazing. I believe that adding Jack support as another audio driver is not too difficult. Live Professor 2 is a fantastic host for using audio plugins in live sound (and not being limited to one plugin maker). I think there is already an API written which you can just include in your code and it will make Jack available to the application as a native driver instead of going through the ASIO sudo-driver bridge. Ill show you options for getting it integrated into your console, problems. ![]() Also since Jack has built in networking it would give LiveProfessor the ability to send audio back and forth between two computers for "outboard" effects without the need for expensive solutions like Dante. Although I’m not a coder I would be happy to help you beta test this feature if you decided to include it in a future update.
